Summer holidays

Imagen relacionadaOne of my favorites summers was in January 2016 when I and my schoolmates backpacking all the south of Chile, we were seven including me. I remember that we planed this trip since we were in 8th grade and I worked the last month before our trip because I did not save money any year!.
I told them to start in Rancagua/Machali because there were my grandparents who would help us with some food, cleaning products, and I needed to get there my tent obviously. So we met there and started to go south until we reached some city or town, or until it was night and we would need to put our tents. This was what I liked from our trip, we did not choose specific destinations, we only traveled to the south with a compass, and the  times that night fell we asked people from there if we could sleep in their yards or even farms! I fell in love with those people because they were so nice with us! Characteristic from the south people.
And I remember we reached first Talca where we slept in the house of my cousins. From there we arrived at Cauquenes and later Concepción. We visited so many towns and some citys but I can not remember all the names, the thing is that we reached Puerto Montt where we stayed like 3 days traveling around there. And finally we arrived at a schoolmate's house in Chiloé where we stayed a whole week! We did not have enough money to continue backpacking, so we decided to stay there for a while touring the surroundings. Obviously we did not stayed the whole week in my friend's house, we camp like in a country area where we could climb hills, fishing in rivers, and more! After a week, we bought tickets back to Santiago. Definitely this summer was one of my favorites since I love to travel, and with my friends even more!!

My favorite picture!!

It was very funny to choose a picture of myself in Facebook, Instagram, etc, I saw many that were my favorite or special to me. These were about; me visiting Brasil for the first time, me with my friends with so many funny moments, and more! But searching I saw a picture and I immediately knew that I should talk about that one.

La imagen puede contener: 4 personas, incluidos Matias Ivan Aguilar Villaseca y Cristian Alberto Aguilar Villaseca, personas sonriendo, personas sentadasMe and my brothers appear in this picture with our cousin Alexander from Canada, that day was the first time we met him. My uncle Jose Luis live in Canada for years and that year he came to Chile to visit us after like 6 years that we did not saw each other. Obviously the communication with him wasn't the best one because he doesn't speak Spanish, but we (the cousins) could talk to him very well and we translated every word that he said to our uncles and aunts. That day when we met him, at the beginning  he was a little bit shy, but when he saw that we could talk to him in English he got confidence and opened up to us. Immediately he told us his stories playing football, at the school, basically everything about his life, and we did the same to know each other. He is a football fan so when we finished eating and talking, we played football against our uncles and I saw that he was enjoying the moment and that makes me happy. I was worried that he wasn't comfortable with us but the things went well.
In that same day, at the night we celebrate his birthday! Officially it was in a few months but we did it because he needed to return to Canada in a few weeks. He received a lot of present, many t-shirts of Chile, balls, toys, etc and was very happy!
I choose this picture because it reminds me of my cousin Alexander who I haven't seen for a few years.

My postgraduate studies

I think that the oportunity to continue our studies is really usefull because it let us to have more knowledge about our areas of interest, in my case these are the organic chemistry and analytic chemistry! I would like to continue studying both subjects because I would love to work in a laboratory analyzing organic structures of any samples, and for that I need to delve into these subject to make the analysis easier.
Since I have always wanted to learn very well english, I would do my postgraduate course in Canada (after taking english class to really talk it correctly) to practice my english and at the same time continue my studies of both subject!. Specially about the chemistry terms that I think it is gonna be my biggest difficulty.
Taking advantage about being in Canada, I would study both subject in part-time courses to let me get a job and, in that way, to not being a burden to my family.
And, for me, another reason to take postgrades courses is that you get paid even more than not having postgrades, but it depends absolutely of the job. This reason is not for being greedy about the money, it is just that I am interested in travel and to know other countries and for that I need money haha!

My dream job

Resultado de imagen para LaboratoriosSince I was a child I knew I would work in an area related to science, at school Iloved seeing physics and chemistry, not biology because I was no attracted to that subject. So I always thought about a job related to a laboratory or doing both physical and chemical experiments, I hated the idea of working locked in an office all my hours of work every day, so it had to be a job where I could work in a laboratory, seeing samples, analyzing physical /chemical concepts, etc. And through my years in school, I ended up liking chemistry more than physics, so when looking for careers I saw chemistry and physics just in case. But I end up liking more the different areas of work that the chemists have oriented.

On the other hand, I have always loved traveling, knowing places, walking hills, whatever it is, as long as I had to travel. This was another of my requirements for a future job, where I thought it could be Tourism. I researched about this career / work, I read stories of people who studied and worked and I knew it was not what it appeared, it depended on many factors to be in a good job of tourism.

In the end I also realized that it was not necessary to be in a job that involved travel to travel and know places. I could work in the area of chemistry and at the same time be able to travel saving enough to be working in the area that I like the most!

The most embarrasing thing I am willing to admit...

Thinking about the embarrassing things that have happened to me reminds me of the school age, when I was more than 10 years old. There was one time in the history class where I fell asleep and I was the target of photos, videos and weirds drawings on my face! Fortunately nothing obscene.
And in those times with a partner we used to make jokes and bullying between us, and one day when we were at recess I was talking to a friend I was in love with, my partner approached to me from behind and he put my pants down in front of her and everyone in the recess! Usually I would not have given much importance, and fortunately he just pull down my pants and not my boxers so nobody saw anything hahah . But I had embarrassment because she was there in front! but I were fast to put on my pants and avoid more pictures of me. Immediately as soon as I got my pants up I ran to give him some good blows to his face. And until now she continues to bother with what happened that day... I hate my partner since that day hahaha

What I'm obsessed!.

I really love ferrets! I'm obsessed with them because they have absolutely everything from others pets. They are playful and affectionate like the dogs, sneaky and sleepy like the cats and the cutest thing in the world like no other animal. From the start I wanted a pet, and I really love dogs but we have been living in a department since always so we couldn't have a dog. I searched some other pets, specially the exotic ones, and I fall in love with ferrets! I saw videos from them being so playful and making a weird but cute dance and I totally decided to have a ferret.
No hay texto alternativo automático disponible. We named him Argus, a greek name that my father knew in one of his trips, and the interesting thing about him is that he was the most active and the only one with the biggest head from the ferrets that came to the vet and that caught my attention. We welcomed him and since then I'm in love with him, the way he caught our attention climbing our legs or just throwing things, the way he play biting our feets and running from us, the way he sleeps like 10 hours in a row becoming a little ball, the way he look for us in winter to sleep inside the sheets and almost everything made and make us love him more!

And about the last days, we travelled in a ship, surrounded by tourist, to Magdalena Island which is a natural monument of penguins, and we were lucky to saw these penguins being fed, making caves, etc. But also, unfortunately, we saw baby penguins devoured by big birds, it was so sad but we couldn't interrupt with the natural course of life, the guides showed us that it was normal. But we still enjoy it seeing family penguins and the beautiful landscape. We spent many days exploring these places and the other days we visited the centre of Punta Arenas.

A country I would like to visit

There are many countries that have every kind of famous places, amazing building's structures, a rich culture, etc. But in my case there are two countries that I would like to visit the most; Canada and Italy.
In my opinion these two countries have one of the best culture in the world, the people is so respectful and they have an incredible conscience about their flora and fauna. They care about everything and what I like the most is the care of street animals and green areas, forests, etc.

About Canada I like the green areas that they have, their forests and obviously the Niagara falls that it's my dream to visit. I had always liked the trekking, go trough the forests taking pictures so that's why I think Canada is one of the best countries to do that.

And about Italy I like all their building's structure and his beautiful landscapes. It's like the people have the privilege of living in a beautiful house and when they go out they always see an amazing landscape anywhere they live. But the most beautiful city in Italy for me is Venecia for this same reasons. Anyway it's my dream to visit this two countries but specially Canada because I want to live there like my uncle did.

My ideal english class

Since I had English classes in fifth grade my teachers were the classical ones who made us complete sentences, listen the classical radio like the ones in the memes and have a short talk with our classmates. In the beginning I was ok with that because I really wanted to learn English either for the videogames or to understand the movies and series that I was interested , and it was fun and helpfully to achieve that. But meanwhile I was in the other grades I was realizing that I needed more practice with the oral and the social situations in general, because personally I thought I was ok with the level of grammatical english that I learned. Obviously it wasn't perfect but I could deal with that until now.
Resultado de imagen para radio de inglesBut then, like in my last year of school, a new teacher came to the class and his teaching method was so different to the others. He made us always talk in english asking us our opinions about some controversial issue and activities like that, I really enjoyed it because that was what I needed. But obviously he made us practice a little our grammar to complement, and for the ones who weren't so good for the english he made them specials grammatical activities before starting the oral practice. He believed that talk everytime in english with him correcting our grammatical and pronunciation errors was more helpfully than complete sentences every time. And it was verified in my classmates  marks.

In conclusion, my ideal english class are the ones where the teachers made us talk everytime in english with some little grammar activities and, in that way, they make us realize our own mistakes and to overcome our shame to talk in english in public, that I think it's one of the most essential aspects if I want to develop my english at the summer jobs in others countries. And in the future maybe with my job as a chemical professional too, who knows!
